Norvox
Corporation (incorporated in June of 2001) is
a private, British Columbia based company with
leading edge technologies designed to make most
Internet content available to small screen wireless
devices.
The Internet currently connects over 1.5 billion
websites. This number is growing at a rate
of approximately 3 million new websites per
day. Websites always were and continuously
are developed for large screen devices with
a heavy emphasis on graphics. This fact combined
with the small screens of the wireless digital
devices (WDD’s) and wireless bandwidth
limitations, renders the vast majority of today’s
existing web sites inaccessible to WDD’s,
such as cell phones and personal digital assistants
(PDA’s).
On the other hand, the explosive growth in
WDD’s in recent years has led to an
increasing demand for expanded content, including
usable access to the Internet through these
devices. While hardware manufacturers have
responded to this demand by developing an
array of ‘Internet-Ready’ cell
phones and PDA’s, little of the existing
Internet content is ready for transmission
to or reception by them.
Norvox has developed two distinct yet complimentary
platforms for effective and user friendly
wireless access to most Internet content.
